Symposium Language

English will be the official language at the symposium. There will be no simultaneous translation.


ON-SITE PRESENTATION INFORMATION

Preparing Lecture Presentations and Posters

Lecture

  • The regular presentation time for a lecture is 15 minutes + 5 minutes for Q&A
  • Presentation as PowerPoint or PDF, preferably in 16:9 format.
  • The presentation language is English. Please prepare all your documents and slides in English.
  • Presentation slides do not need to be uploaded in advance.
  • There are no specifications or guidelines for the design of your slides.
    Please note:
    • For technical reasons, no personal equipment like your own notebook can be used to give your presentation. Since you will be giving your presentation on-site using a presentation computer provided by us, we ask you to use only standard fonts such as Arial, Geneva, Helvetic or Lucida Sans in your presentation. Otherwise, we cannot exclude the possibility of unintentional text displacement in your presentation on the presentation computer. Alternatively, we ask you to embed the individual font you use in your PowerPoint presentation or PDF presentation. If you need help for embedding a font please have a look here.
    • If you would like to play a video during your presentation, you will need to embed it into your presentation slides. If you need help embedding a video file, please have a look here.
  • On-site: During the break, before the session with your presentation, you can transfer the presentation directly to the presentation computer and start it from there.

Poster

  • The maximum poster size is DIN A0 in portrait format.
  • On the first day of the symposium, please hang your poster in the designated location (usually the presentation room) before the start of the symposium.
  • There is NO need to have any fasteners on hand.
  • During the lunch break on the first day of the symposium, please be at your poster to discuss the topics that will be presented there.
  • At the end of the symposium, the posters can be taken down.


LECTURER INFORMATION

Publications

CEAS Aeronautical Journal

High quality scientific papers on the presented topics (corresponding to a presentation) are welcome to be handed in for peer review and publication at CEAS Aeronautical Journal. You will receive further information on this by the scientific conference chair after the conference.

DGLR-Web-Publications

Papers on the presented topics (corresponding to a presentation) are welcome to be handed in for publication as DGLR-Web-Publication. DGLR-Web-Publications are electronic publications of DGLR, which are available on the Internet. Scientific contributions from DGLR events and the work of DGLR expert committees are published. The documents are published as monographs and registered with the German National Library. The German National Library ensures long-term archiving and assigns a URN to each publication. The URN is a unique identifier for the documents, which allows permanent identification and reliable citation of online resources. Optionally, the documents are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Please note: Papers not selected for publication in the CEAS Aeronautical Journal may subsequently be published in the DGLR-Web-Publications.
